Marketing? Focus on Values

The times when marketing activities focused solely on the product or only involved informing potential customers about a company’s offer are long gone. Today, companies wanting to win consumers’ hearts should completely focus on… the human. In value marketing, the company’s task is to get to know customers, their needs, desires, and fears as well as possible, all to reach not only their minds but also their emotions. A holistic approach to the customer as a multidimensional person who adheres to values is not limited solely to meeting their needs. The goal of such marketing activities is to make the world a better place.

Fundamental values of value marketing include empathy, responsibility, authenticity, honesty, and cooperation because they help a company stand out from market competition and gain a significant advantage over it. Modern companies prove that economic and social goals can complement each other, so these values must be the foundation of the entire company’s operations and should be implemented together with its customers, business partners, or shareholders. This is the only way organizations reach the minds and emotions of consumers.

It is also important that companies build a story around their brand based on these values because, although there will always be someone who may doubt a company’s good intentions, the added value to the product and the deep idea with which customers can identify are essential in such marketing activities.

It should be remembered that companies using the concept of value marketing must create products and services in such a way as to satisfy the deep needs of consumers, including emotional and spiritual ones. Therefore, an organization should treat its customers as close partners – only such cooperation will make them prosumers, that is, true ambassadors of their brands.
